Josh Duhamel says Fergie makes him a better person

After a year and a half of marriage to Fergie, Josh Duhamel has greatly matured when it comes to his views on love and beauty.

"I just look for a really nice ass!" the actor, his tongue in his cheek, told reporters at Tuesday's New York press conference for his new movie, "The Romantics."

Kidding aside, the "Transformers" star, 37, says he's come to appreciate Fergie's inner beauty and the connection that's at the core of love. "You grow up and you realize it isn't just about the aesthetic," he says. "It's about whether or not that person makes you better and whether or not that person makes you happy. You're lucky if you can find it."Duhamel's character in "The Romantics" isn't so lucky. Leading up to his own wedding, he's caught in a love triangle between his bride (Anna Paquin) and her maid of honor (Katie Holmes).

Filming the role made Duhamel thankful for his real-life relationship with the Black Eyed Peas singer, whom he married in January 2009. "It makes me appreciate my wedding," he says. "It makes me appreciate that I knew going in that I was with the one that I wanted to be with."

He adds: "The scary part is the idea of not knowing for sure. My character didn't know whether or not he was going to go through with it, and that's the biggest nightmare you could have, especially for a groom-to-be."

Fergie 'spent two hours doing hair'

Fergie has admitted that she would spend two hours doing her hair before class every morning.

The singer also revealed that she conformed to the styles of her generation with "teased" and "permed" looks.

"There are many pictures of me from high school and I had the spiral perm and I scrunched my hair," the 35-year-old told People.
"I would take two hours sometimes to do my hair before school, which is ridiculous. Teasing my bangs up to six inches high."

Of her recent decision to remove her eye-brow jewellery after many years, she added: "I've always been really into piercings. There was a time that I really felt naked without the piercings. And, you know, it was time for a change."

The Black Eyed Peas singer is going to discuss starting a family with her husband Josh Duhamel when her current tour ends and is confident she will still be hot even when she has a baby in tow.

She told Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine: “You can be a mother and still be completely sexy.”Although the 35-year-old pop star is thinking about motherhood she admits she is completely focused on her music career right now.

She said: “Right now, I don’t want anything clouding my focus. Right now, I’m living in the present.”

Fergie recently confessed she would feel “too guilty” to perform on stage if she was pregnant.

She stated: “Everyone tries to rush you into everything these days, but for me right now it’s all about Black Eyed Peas – there’s no room in my schedule to have a child.

“Even if I wanted to get pregnant, there’s no way I could perform on stage and be pregnant, I would feel too guilty. Once I have children, the kids come first.”
